The Southern California (SoCal) area is home to several airports:
Los Angeles International (LAX)
Distance: about 22 miles (35 km) to Long Beach (the conference venue)
Drive time: 30 to 40 mins
Long Beach Airport (LGB)
Distance: about 11 miles (18 km) to the conference venue
Drive time: 15 to 20 mins
Other airports in the region include Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, Ontario International Airport in Ontario, CA, and San Diego International Airport. These are relatively far from Long Beach.
LAX is one of the busiest airports in the United States and served by a large number of airlines. It is a major international hub on the West Coast and located about 17 miles west of downtown Los Angeles. A wealth of information for the traveller, such as the real time status of flights, can be found on the Los Angeles World Airports web site.
